"…and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs in their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health." (2 Chronicles 7:14, The Message).

We had a wonderful time on Faith Conference 2011. If you were there with us, you’d probably agree with me, and if not, I’d highly recommend you to listen to the entire conference on CD’s.

From my perspective, the Conference has been characterized in the first place by the great hunger for God. We do everything to present the gospel at the level where we’ll be excellent ambassadors of the Kingdom of God. When Daniel was one of the satraps in the Babylon empire, by today’s language one of government ministers, is written of him that he "… so completely outclassed the other vice-regents and governors that the king decided to put him in charge of the whole kingdom." (Daniel 6:3, The Message). Other translations say that on Daniel was the Spirit of Excellence. Recently, organization Christians in the city was organizing series of benefit concerts in Bratislava together with ZOE Christian Chamber Orchestra under the auspice of Mrs. Prime Minister, on which they gave her the Bible with a dedication which read: "Our precious heritage of the ancestors of our faith, the Word of God through which God still speaks to those who read the Book of books with an open heart.” Thank God for this opportunity!

However, for the Kingdom of God to breakthrough in our nation, it’s important that the people of God return back to the ways of the Lord. Note, that the healing of our country is closely linked with the fact that God's people would turn away "from their wicked ways." Maybe it sounds like a paradox, but God does not call first the world to return to Him, but His people. If the people of God begin to pray again and wholeheartedly seek God's face, the Lord not only forgives our sin, but also heals our land. No wonder that God pays close attention to how His Church is doing.

My second impression from the conference is the willingness of God's people. Whenever something is going on "on the stage", there are always people "behind the curtains" who pay the price. Many times they are the heroes whose names are not mentioned in the church bulletins, but are written with golden letters in heaven. I believe that this is what the Kingdom of God is about. We believe in unity, but we don’t mean uniformity by it. It is amazing to see diversity and variegation of gifting in the people of God. If we find our place in this heavenly symphony, God has use for every gift. As expressed by one of God's servants of the 20th century: "I can do this and you something else. Together, we can achieve much." Apostle Paul was proud of his colleagues from the Philippian church, at whose birth he was. He knew these people personally and knew well what price they paid. Paul's words also render my heart:

"Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on this with us, believing and proclaiming God’s Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present" (Phil. 1:3-5, The Message). Thank God for your service!
