Also this year we, as it is already customary for many years, celebrated the New Year's Eve together as a church. In Bratislava’s Kerametal it was around seventy of us. The atmosphere here was so wonderful that we didn’t want to go home. We started with joyful praise, which led us into God's presence. Through praise we also expressed our gratitude to our Lord for his grace and faithfulness in the past year. We were almost flooded with tears from the laughter when we watched scenes, directed by Pastor Martin Hunčár - "By the Three blind" and "Space Travel". We didn’t certainly miss our New Year's Eve dinner prepared by brother Vlado Vrábel. But the most important food for us was the Word of God, which pastor Peter Čuřík brought to us. Based on the story of Esther he encouraged us that we should dare to dream big dreams and expect that we will be used the Lord. Key to this is our personal preparation for God's purposes in the background, just as was the case with John the Baptist or Jesus Christ Himself.

We‘ve officially welcomed New Year 2010 with the Lord's Supper and prayer. Again we have given our personal lives and the church for God's purposes and goals.

After midnight, a wonderful celebration of our Lord launched, accompanied by Israeli rhythmic songs, which lasted until the early hours.

New Year's Eve 2009 was simply unique and we’ll certainly not forget about it!
