When we say Sunday school, we mean a program specially prepared for children whose parents visit our regular Sunday services. A parallel program for children is prepared, which is accustomed to their age and includes games, songs, Bible teaching, craft and an occasional drama. Currently, the children are divided into three age groups: the youngest are Sheep (Pre-Schoolers), middle category - Lions (Grades 1-3) and the oldest are Eagles (ages Grades 4-6). During the first part of the service, parents and children sit together, but after tithings they leave with their teacher to separate rooms, where we can give them our full attention. We gradually lead them to independent reading of the Word of God, prayer and understanding of fundamental Biblical truths. They are introduced to a variety os Biblical characters and stories. Our objective is to teach them to apply these truths in their every-day life in school, clubs, with friends and to be obedient in their homes, and especially, to build a relationship with Jesus, who they will begin to love not because of their parents, but because they knew him for themselves.
The peak of our entire year’s programme is the annual children’s camp, which is attended by children from other Christian fellowships as well. Besides a lively curriculum and many sports activities, the children usually experience a closer encounter with Jesus. Many of them find new friends and are able to improve in various fields such as singing, drama, creative workshops, etc.
